Nicholas G. Mosca, D.D.S. serves as the STD/HIV Director for the State of Mississippi. He is also Vice-President for the American Association of Public Health Dentistry, a Clinical Professor of Dentistry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, and a doctoral degree candidate in health leadership at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Nicholas G. Mosca, D.D.S. serves as Director of the STD/HIV Office for the Mississippi State Department of Health. He is Vice-President for the American Association of Public Health Dentistry and served on the executive committee for the Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors. Dr. Mosca is a Clinical Professor of Dentistry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson and served as a consultant for the Commission on Dental Education. In 2004 and 2006, Dr. Mosca received the President’s Award from the Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors. In 1989, he developed and directed a hospital-based dental program for University Hospitals and Clinics at UMMC which was recognized for patient service and training in special care dentistry. Dr. Mosca has published and lectured extensively on the dental care of persons with systemic diseases and received an Outstanding Service Award for excellence in treating those infected with HIV. He received his dental degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1987 and completed a General Practice Residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Mosca is a doctoral degree candidate in health leadership at the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
