Nicholas G. Mosca, D.D.S., Dr.P.H. serves as Director of the STD/HIV Office for the Mississippi State Department of Health and is Affiliate Faculty at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson.

Nicholas G. Mosca, D.D.S., Dr.P.H. serves as Director of the STD/HIV Office for the Mississippi State Department of Health and is Affiliate Faculty at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson. He received his dental degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1987 and completed a General Practice Residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. In 2014, he received the Doctor of Public Health degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served as State Dental Director for Mississippi and directed a hospital-based dental program for the University Hospitals and Clinics at UMMC. In 1996, Dr. Mosca served as the Harry W. Bruce, Jr. Legislative Fellow for the American Dental Education Association. He also served as a U.S. Public Health Service Primary Care Policy Fellow in 2005 and as the Meskin Fellow for Santa Fe Group in 2012. In 2006, he received The Surgeon General David Satcher Keynote Lecture Award from the U.S. Public Health Service Commission Corp Dental Category. Dr. Mosca is Past President for the American Association of Public Health Dentistry and serves as Editor for the Santa Fe Group. He has received President’s Awards from the Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors and the American Association of Public Health Dentistry.
