Terry Fulmer, Ph.D., R.N. is a Professor of Nursing & Professor of Medicine for The Erline Perkins McGriff College of Nursing at the College of Dentistry, New York University. She is also Co-Director for The John A. Hartford Foundation Institute for Geriatric Nursing and Director of the Consortium of New York Geriatric Education Centers (CNYGECs).

Terry Fulmer, Ph.D., R.N. is a Professor of Nursing & Professor of Medicine for The Erline Perkins McGriff College of Nursing at the College of Dentistry, New York University. She is also Co-Director for The John A. Hartford Foundation Institute for Geriatric Nursing and Director of the Consortium of New York Geriatric Education Centers (CNYGECs). She received her bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College, her master’s and doctoral degrees from Boston College, and her Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certificate from NYU. Dr. Fulmer’s program of research focuses on acute care of the elderly and, specifically, elder abuse and neglect. Dr. Fulmer received the status of Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, Gerontological Society of America, and the New York Academy of Medicine. She is also a member of the Institute of Medicine at the National Academies of Science.
