Celebrating Excellence in Dental Education!

On March 10, the 2025 ADEA Gies Awards were presented in National Harbor, MD, marking a special milestone as the ADEAGies Foundation celebrates 75 years of honoring excellence in dental education. The awards recognized individuals who have made significant contributions to the field, and we congratulate this year’s distinguished honorees: 

 George Haddad, M.S. (Gies Award for Eminence in Innovation); Cecile A. Feldman, D.M.D., M.B.A. (Gies Award for Eminence in Vision and Leadership); Lois K. Cohen, Ph.D., and Dennis Mitchell, D.D.S., M.P.H. (Gies Award for Eminence in Achievement) 

 In addition to celebrating these incredible leaders, we are especially proud to recognize Dr. Cherae Farmer-Dixon, D.D.S., M.S.P.H., as the Chair-Elect of the Board of Directors for the American Dental Education Association (ADEA). Dr. Farmer-Dixon is the Dean of the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry and a Senior Scholar with the Santa Fe Group. Her election to this esteemed position underscores her exceptional leadership and vision within the field.
