Santa Fe Group proudly launches SFG Spotlight, a new space where experts share ideas that shape the future of oral health.

Spotlights appear in different formats, including short videos, interviews, voice reflections, and written perspectives, giving everyone the freedom to share their insights in the way that feels most authentic.

Our first feature highlights Dr. Gina Thornton-Evans, Senior Scholar at the Santa Fe Group, who draws on nearly 30 years in federal public health to discuss how national surveillance and data collection inform efforts to improve oral health across the lifespan. She reflects on the connection between oral and systemic diseases such as diabetes and periodontitis, the economic costs of dental care, and the continuing need to integrate medical and dental care to advance equity and prevention.
