As we close out the year, December offers a moment to reflect, reconnect, and refocus on the work ahead. Even with the seasonal shifts and challenges that can deepen existing inequities, this month also highlights the strength of our collective efforts to advance oral health and overall well-being.
December includes several important public health observances, including World AIDS Day (Dec 1), International Day of Persons with Disabilities (Dec 3) and National Handwashing Awareness Week (Dec 5–11). Each reminds us of the power of prevention, community, and thoughtful collaboration.
As we wrap up 2025, we look forward to continuing this momentum together in the new year.
