June: Men’s Health
Men’s Health Week, celebrated this year from June 10 – 16, honors the importance of the health and wellness of boys and men.
It was created by Congress in 1994 to heighten awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys.
The goal is to increase awareness of male health issues on a global level and to encourage inter- and intra-national institutions to develop health policies and services that meet the specific needs of men, boys, and their families.
