Raising Awareness: Mouth Cancer Action Month
November is dedicated to Mouth Cancer Action Month, a global campaign aimed at raising awareness of oral (mouth) cancer — including the lips, tongue, gums and throat.
As incidence of mouth cancer continues to rise, early detection and prevention are more important than ever.
You play a role. Regular self-exams, staying alert for unusual changes (such as red or white patches, non-healing sores or lumps), and discussing screenings with your dental or medical professional can make a lifesaving difference.
