Penn Dental Medicine Launches Caregiver Dental Hub, a Free National Oral Health Resource

The Santa Fe Group is pleased to share the launch of the Caregiver Dental Hub, a free national online resource developed by the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine to support caregivers who provide daily oral care for individuals with disabilities.

Created with support from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation and informed by conversations with hundreds of caregivers, the Hub provides practical, easy-to-understand guidance to help address common barriers to oral health care.

The resource features:

  • Instructional videos and expert demonstrations on daily oral hygiene and dental care
  • Caregiver stories and practical guidance for everyday challenges
  • Information on oral health products, preventing tooth decay, and communicating with dental professionals
  • A directory of disability-friendly dentists

Dr. Stephen Abel, a member of the Santa Fe Group, helped lead the development of this initiative. The Hub reflects an important effort to make oral health information more accessible to families, professional caregivers, and those supporting individuals with disabilities.

The Caregiver Dental Hub is available at no cost and is designed to help caregivers build confidence, develop practical skills, and better support the oral health of those in their care.
