Santa Fe Group Supports Dr. Solomon Brotman’s Proposals to the ADA Code Maintenance Committee
The Santa Fe Group has submitted a letter of support for Dr. Solomon G. Brotman’s proposed code changes to the American Dental Association’s (ADA) Code Maintenance Committee (CMC). These proposals, set for consideration at the March 7, 2025, meeting, aim to improve healthcare delivery by integrating dental practices with broader healthcare initiatives.
Dr. Brotman’s work is instrumental in advancing the integration of oral health and overall health. The proposed new codes would provide dentists with the tools to conduct essential health screenings during dental visits—helping identify conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and depression early on, improving patient outcomes and addressing critical gaps in care.
The Santa Fe Group strongly endorses these proposals, believing they will enhance patient safety, strengthen the role of dentists in holistic care, and foster collaboration between dental and medical professionals.
