Recipients of 2024 William J. Gies Awards
On March 11, at the 2024 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition, the 2024 William J. Gies Awards were presented to three recipients:
- Alison F. Doubleday, Ph.D, M.A., M.S. – the Gies Award for Innovation
- Nader A. Nadershahi, D.D.S., M.B.A., Ed.D. – the Gies Award for Vision and Leadership
- Santa Fe Group – the Gies Award for Achievement
The Gies Awards, named after dental education pioneer William J. Gies, Ph.D., honors ADEA members, institutions, or public/private partners whose work represents the highest order of innovation, achievement, or vision and leadership in oral health education. Only one awardee is chosen per category. In a year during which the ADEAGies Foundation was sent a record number of nominations, we are proud that an esteemed SFG member and the Santa Fe Group were chosen to receive these highly respected awards and the distinction they confer.
